The original name was “CAVALLARIA”, which comes from “CAVALL” (horse). Year by year, this name changed several times and finally acquired the current shape.
The property has belonged to the family since the year 900.
This typical Catalan farmhouse-style country house is placed in the mountains (1225 metres above sea level) and has been enlarged twice (in 1844 and in 1954). It is surrounded by cereal and potatoe fields and forestry areas. During 8 centuries, apart from the housing, several caves were also inhabited.
The energy supply of the property is half conventional subterranean and half solar energy.

Nowadays, the whole cultivation is ecological.
